Kenny Allman has been an active participant in theater since 1989 when he was cast as an extra in The Sound of Music. He quickly decided he enjoyed the backstage area much more than being on the stage.
During the years Kenny has been involved in almost every aspect of technical theater. Kenny completed lighting design internships at the Broadway Theaters production of Miss Saigon, as well as Kansas City’s Starlight Theaters summer season. Since that time, he has held just about every position available backstage, as well as becoming a designer in lighting, sound, set, and projections and has since moved in technical direction positions that included children’s, community, and professional theater companies.
Kenny is currently the Technical Director at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas where he teaches stagecraft and design classes.
